Copyright and Licences

The content on tidsskriftet.no and in the print edition of the Journal belongs to the Journal of the Norwegian Medical Association and is protected under the Copyright Act. The exception is scientific articles published after 1 January 2020 on tidsskriftet.no and in the print edition. These articles are published under the open access licence CC-BY-ND, and the authors retain the copyright. Read more.

For all other content, the Journal has the exclusive right to produce copies of our websites and print editions. Therefore, the websites, downloadable PDF versions, and print editions of our articles may not be copied, reproduced, republished, downloaded, or otherwise reproduced or transmitted without prior written approval from the Journal. This applies to all content, including text, images, illustrations, photos, logos, podcasts, and videos.

Copying or downloading in violation of the Journal's rights may result in liability for damages and/or criminal responsibility. This applies to all use, including the downloading of content for the training of language models and other artificial intelligence systems.

Only individuals have the right to personal, private, and non-commercial use of the Journal's copyright-protected content.
